With her colorful creations filled with nostalgia, Miss Bibi talks to the little kid inside all of us. Brigitte Giraudi, designer inspired by the imaginary world and dreams, tells us about her brand Miss Bibi.
Who are you?
A small scale artist.
How did you start in fashion?
By putting the magic of miniature into the accessory.
I wanted to tell a story about scales, who became a jewelry line, fashion was the market which answered positively to this playful enterprise.
How would you define your style?
As far as i'm concerned, I love simplicity, and even more sobriety.
Through my work, I try to bring an analogical style, handmade, touchable. It is more alive, so more beautiful, in my opinion.
What inspires you?
I think truthfully that everything can be the topic of a story. It depends on our state of mind which will let us identify or not an inspiration source.
A few words about this collection...
My creations are first of all the will to make an idea come true with a plastic and aesthetic purpose associated. Those pieces are from the collection named Ready-Mades as a tribute to Marcel Duchamp. They all start from an everyday object, taken away from its mundane utilitarian functionality to consider it as a pure shape in itself.
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
The pencil necklace, it directly reminds me of something nostalgic, related to childhood.
Where do you manufacture your products?
Mostly in Paris but everything is finished in Monaco.
